Those pesky telly people have gone and decided the wonderful Isy Suttie will be needed for filming for her new role in Shameless – so sadly she won’t be able to join us as previously advertised. We’re really sorry to anyone who is particularly disappointed.

BUT…. Never fear, as Babs has been on her phone day and night to find a new headline act and secure a wonderful line up for the night. We’re therefore delighted to announce Jo Enright (recent star of Ricky Gervais comedy Life’s too Short) and all round hilarious lady!

We’ve also got local gal made good Annette Fagon, up and coming star Lucy Beaumont and of course never to be underestimated or forgotten – Barbara’s famous raffle will be back!

Women & Theatre’s 5th Comedy fun(d)raiser is back at mac in style, celebrating World Mental Health Day. Resident host, housewife and mother of 5, Mrs Barbara Nice, is bringing a bunch of her best comedy girlfriends including headlining act Isy Suttie (Peep Show) to join her for a night of hilarious fun and laughter.

Featuring an exciting line up of some of the UKs top comediennes, and of course, Barbara’s world famous raffle this is a night not to be missed!

Please check www.womenandtheatre.co.uk for confirmation of the full line-up closer to the time.

‘A hybrid between Mrs Merton and Victoria Wood’ (The Times on Barbara Nice)

‘Doesn’t just blur the gap between audience and performer, she obliterates it’ (Edinburgh Evening News on Barbara Nice)

‘One of the most versatile comics in the UK’ (The Scotsman on Isy Suttie)

‘Gloriously upbeat… a wonderfully whimsical musical comedian’ (The Evening Standard on Isy Suttie)

This event is part of the Birmingham Comedy Festival, Friday 5 – Sunday 14 October 2012. www.bhamcomfest.co.uk
