Introduction
Women & Theatre in partnership with Birmingham & Solihull Mental Health Foundation Trust, have produced a festive new show, The Christmas Box which is touring to different BSMHFT sites in December.
Developed from research at BSMHFT settings, The Christmas Box has tips, wisdom & memories of Christmas as a central thread.
History
In January 2011, Women & Theatre moved premises to The Old Lodge at the Uffculme Centre, a site owned by Birmingham & Solihull Mental Health Foundation Trust.
This marked a new chapter in our relationship with BSMHFT, and we have been developing projects together that engage service users and staff and make an impact. Amongst other activity we have delivered a course of drama workshops at The Oleaster and appeared at the Trust’s Equality & Diversity Conference.
The idea for a festive show came about through dialogue with the Trust and we were thrilled to secure funds to make it happen.
This production has been developed with funding from BSMHFT Charitable Funds, Wellbeing Fund and the proceeds of W&T’s World Mental Health Fundraiser.
