W&T commissioned for SCOPE’s Strengthening Families project

W&T have been commissioned by SCOPE to develop a new play and DVD about the experiences of parents of children with additional needs, specifically exploring the effect this has on the parents’ relationship with each other. The play will be presented with pilot performances in January 08 after which a DVD will be produced made up of extracts of the play and interviews with parents and professionals interspersed with learning objectives/ key points. The DVD will be an awareness raising tool suitable for both professionals and befrienders.

In September and October 07, Janice Connolly, our Artistic Director, will be carrying out research for this project by talking to parents and a range of professionals, which will inform her writing of the play.
